Do you notice that emotional eating happens mostly at night? You are not alone. At night:• you are tired• your willpower is lower• emotions from the day surface• food feels comforting and quietThis is not lack of discipline. It is your nervous system asking for relief.
Why cravings are stronger at nightcision fatigue
1. Decision fatigue
You used mental energy all day. Your brain wants quick comfort.
2.Emotional backlog
Feelings you ignored during the day appear at night.
3.Low energy
Your body is tired, so it looks for fast sugar.
The gentle night reset (before eating)
Try this routine:
1️⃣ Make a warm drink
2️⃣ Sit down (do not stand in the kitchen)
3️⃣ Take 5 slow breaths
4️⃣ Ask: “What do I need right now?”
Sometimes the answer is:
- rest
- comfort
- reassurance
Not food.
